Milky Waymo

Published

A fully automated passenger shuttle now runs between Holo Hollow Landing and Stillreach Landing Station: 200 Credits one way, three minutes, and your Rivet and its cargo stay right where you left them.

A current view from the playable build.

Milky Waymo has opened a check-in at both landing hubs. Once you have flown your own Rivet to Stillreach for the first time (see Flying the Rivet to Stillreach), you can buy a ticket there and ride between Holo Hollow Landing and Stillreach Landing Station without taking your ship.

Step into Milky Waymo from the landing's places and a bright blue-and-white ticketing kiosk shows where it will take you, the 200 Credit fare, the three-minute trip and your balance. Booking asks you to confirm first; nothing is charged until you do, and once the shuttle departs the journey cannot be cancelled. Before you have flown to Stillreach, you can still walk up and look, but the kiosk says the service is not yet available.

You travel; your Rivet does not. Your carried belongings and equipment come with you, while your ship, its fuel and everything in its Cargo Hold stay parked where you left them, wherever that is. The ride keeps going if you close the game, and you will find it landed when you return.

On board, a cabin assistant under the flight chart greets you, speaks a new line every thirty seconds and signs off on arrival. It is a recording, not a conversation, and DISEMBARK clears its notice once you have landed.

Patch notes

Added

  • Milky Waymo check-ins at Holo Hollow Landing and Stillreach Landing Station: a one-way, 200 Credit, three-minute passenger shuttle between the two, available after your first Rivet flight to Stillreach.
  • A blue-and-white ticketing kiosk with an explicit confirmation before any charge, and clear messages for insufficient Credits and for service not yet available.
  • The existing interplanetary flight view, flown by the Milky Waymo shuttle, with a cabin assistant: a greeting, a different line every thirty seconds drawn from a pool of twenty-four, and an arrival sign-off.

Changed

  • A passenger journey blocks walking, trading and activities just as a Rivet flight does, and lands on its recorded schedule even while you are away.
